Description:	This is an intensive course involving extensive hands-on work. The basic strokes and their application to each body part are taught. The theory covers anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, connective tissue, effects of MLD and contraindications. Lymphedemas are described with an emphasis on how Manual Lymph Drainage can affect them. Required book for the course is "Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage; A Practical Guide" by the Wittlinger's
Additional Notes:	This is an intensive, fast-paced 40 hour class. It is important to study recommended readings prior to class. There is a free introductory lecture at The Open Center July 19th at 8:00 PM, where any questions will be answered. (In response to many requests for shorter days, this class will run Monday-Friday: 9:00am-5:30pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.)
